One of my close friends is am member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints and was headed out on her mission. It’s a 2 year commitment and often missionaries keep a journal to document their journey.
Their favorite videogames are Undertale and Portal. The journal itself is based off of the video game portal. because I knew that she would be taking this around with her for 2 years, I wanted to make sure that her story stays safe so I made a clamshell box to protect it.
the clamshell box has clasps to hold it closed and a shoulder strap for ease of transportation along as two phrases of encouragement from the videogame. whenever she opens it to write in her journal she knows that she is loved and has good people who care about her and her wellbeing.
